PRIYA HARDER
I have had the unique experience of knowing Octavia as a La Cañada High School educator as well as a community leader, fellow parent and friend. It was such a joy to have my favorite high school teacher hand my eighth grade graduate her diploma a few years ago. In every task she takes on, Octavia demonstrates her ability to rise to challenges with an open mind and approach even the most complex situations with compassion and grace. In a world where it can be hard to relate to leaders, even on the local level, I know I am well represented and my children are cared for with Octavia on the school board.

I have known Octavia Thuss for more than 15 years and have personally witnessed her passion for education and tireless dedication to LCUSD and our community. Over the past four years, I have also seen her bring that same commitment to her service on the LCUSD Governing Board.
